Despite Elterwater being a small village, the views from the Britannia are very relaxing so even if its not sunny its well worth braving it and sitting outside. There are many walks that go to and from Elterwater so feel free to ask us for advice on this and we will incorporate the Britannia into the walk so you get a well deserved treat!
Olivia, on of our longest staff members is a local of Elterwater village and regularly dines at the Britannia, she always swears by the fish and chips which her and her family say is the best in the area.
This can be a very busy place on sunny days but it is well worth the wait for food, there are a great range of local beers etc and there is a bus that leaves directly outside the pub and can bring you past Nanny Brow.
